One of the BIGGEST things I would hoard and spend money on (literally all the time) was cards for friends and family. Any occasion you can think of, I probably had cards for it. But here’s the annoying part – I’d buy these cards (around $4 a pop) only for them to sit in a file folder and never get sent out. How frustrating is that?! Even with the best of intentions, these sweet little things would just sit and collect dust.
One day, around the time that I started this whole journey and began cleaning out my hall closet, I came across said folder and decided once and for all that each and every one of those cards was getting sent out. So I did what any sane person would do ;) I sat down at the counter with a book of stamps, a couple of pens, and began writing notes to my family and friends. One by one, those cards found a home, and that file folder made it’s way into the recycle bin. I vowed right then and there to stop spending money on something that always became an after thought. I was sad to be giving up this act that I really loved and found value in, but it just wasn’t working out the way I wanted it to, and was encouraging bad habits.
And then I stumbled across this app. Talk about perfect timing. INK is a super simple platform to send cards to family and friends that you can customize – and get this, it only costs $1.99 a card! Postage included. This means no more buying cards in bulk at the store, no more unnecessary spending, no more stamp purchases (I pay all of my bills online), and the best part — no more clutter.
You can also set up reminders for events or birthdays coming up, since INK has the option to sync up with your contacts. This also makes it s much easier when adding in the address to the card, since all you do is select the contact from your phone – they take care of the rest.
They have a ton of design options to choose from, as well as unique categories ranging form birthdays, new babies, buying a home, etc. You can also add an image to personalize it even more, and of course add in your own message. Lastly, this isn’t a sponsored post :) I just love it so much and really appreciate that I don’t have to feel like I need to give up gifting cards to the ones I love, since it’s one of my favorite ways to check in. Being able to minimize my spending and the items brought into my home is one of my main priorities – and thanks to this app, I get the best of both worlds :)
