Happy Friday! I for one can’t believe how quickly this week came and went. I’ve been up in Traverse City soaking up the sunshine as well as the iconic view of Lake Michigan (why is it SO much more blue here than in Chicago!? I don’t get it) One of the things I love most about coming up north is how HAPPY Jasper is. I can’t get enough of how much he gets into nature, runs free without a leash, chews sticks constantly and just gets to be a dog.
Tomorrow we’re going mountain biking (wish me luck!) and spending most of the day working from Chris’ distillery (he set up a make-shift office for me on their top floor which was the cutest thing ever) It’s actually been the best working environment and I feel so incredibly productive here – plus Jasper can just roam around, pop in and out the front door, and I can still keep my eye on him. Everybody wins!
Okay so the point of this post. I wanted to share with you guys some of the things I packed for my long weekend to the Cape last month. It was my first time, and I fell head over heels for this sweet little town. I posted some pictures from our trip over here, but wanted to highlight what I packed since this was one trip that I researched the heck out of in way of what to bring. Fortunately, I didn’t have a single moment of “crap, I forgot ___” or “I should’ve brought __” and I stuck to a pretty strict navy, royal blue and white theme which made packing and selecting items so much easier. While some of the things are similar items (due to a couple of my items being old), they’re near identical and I couldn’t recommend this list enough for a long summer weekend in the Cape! Hope it helps.
If you haven’t been, please put this on your bucket list of places to see. You won’t regret it :)
